Crafty Inklings Blog Hop – October 2017

Good morning and welcome  to the latest Crafty Inkling Blog Hop.  If you are new to blog hops then you are in for a treat.  This is where fellow Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from around the country share their projects for you to view and continue on along with a link to the next blog, it is great fun!

This month our theme is ‘Christmas Decorations’, can you believe how close the festive season is?  So you have joined me from Tanya and I’m sure you will agree that her project is stunning and it is getting me ready to bring out the mulled wine and mince pies!

I have decided to show case two projects and neither of them are in the tradional colours of red and green.  Both of them have, dare I say……. BLACK!  So first up is a topiary tree which I have been wanting to make for a few years now.

I used the Merry Little Christmas designer papers (144622).  It was time consuming cutting and hot gluing the paper on to the ball but the finished project is well worth it and because of the colour scheme it can be out on display all year round.  The trunk was wrapped in Old Olive sheer ribbon (144171) and lastly the black and white bow (144624) finished it off perfectly.

My next project is a snow scene lantern which holds a battery tea light.

The actual lanten was designed by a talented demonstrator called Ann Melvin. A soon as I saw her lantern I knew I wanted to use the Hometown Greetings edglit dies (144671), which I cut out in whisper white cardstock (106549).  I’m sure you agree the snow scene is perfect.  (You will need a sizzix big shot dies cutting and embossing machine (143263) to use the dies).  Vellum cardstock (106584) was used for the glass panels and lastly year of cheer  foiled washi tape (144644) was used to decorate.  I have also included cards which were made using some of the same products.

It is now time for you to hop to Cheryl for some more inspirational decorations.  Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have liked the projects you have seen today.

Freshly Made Sketches

Today I am taking  part in a shoe box swap with my fellow team.  This is a great way for us demo’s to get great ideas and cards for our displays.  I am looking forward to seeing everyone’s cards.

But unknowingly my design fell into a the Freshly Made Sketches for this month.  So this is the sketch below.

And this is my card.

I have used from the new Autumn/winter catalogue Year of cheer speciality Dsp, Labels of love stamp set, everyday labal punch and champange foil.

From the annual catalogue I have used Star of Light stamp set and 11/8 gold ribbon. I have embossed the stars and labels of love stamp with silver/gold embossing  power.  I still get a wow feeling when I watch the melting from dull powder to a bright and shiny metallic finish.

The Freshly Made Sketches  link is here, so please have a look at the fabulous cards which have been uplosded.  such great ideas.

If you would like to have more information  regards to ordering any products or attend my classes please contact me.

Christmas is on it’s Way…..Early release bundle……

I love being a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator because today I was able to view and pre order from the new up and coming Autumn/Winter catalogue!  Oh my gosh it makes you feel very festive and the Christams songs are beginning  to swirl around in my head like a snow blizzard!

One of the sets is called Carols for Christmas and I was fortunate enough to play with this stamp set and matching dies at a recent team meeting hosted by Sandra Roberts.

This was a lovely boxed frame picture we made and was easy (even though I managed to put the glue on the wrong section) but at least I know what I’m doing next time.

We also did a team swap and these two beautiful cards were made by Tara Stay and Sandra.  Well my mind was made up and today this bundle made it’s way onto my order! I can’t wait to start planning for my Christmas card classes.
Well if you fancy making these lovely projects then you can because Stampin ‘ Up! have released it early for customers to order as from today!

New Catalogue Blog Hop – June 2017

Welcome to another Crafty Inklings  Blog hop.  If you haven’t heard of it before this is where fellow demonstrators link blogs to show share their Crafty projects. You  have joined me from Sue McDonald  and I’m sure you will agree she has excelled herself with her projects.

Today I am show casing the fantastic Delightful Daisy suite – Stamps, punch and beautiful Designer Paper! This scrapbook layout is of my daughter Kezia when she was 7 months old.  I bought this lovely Daisy dress and was desperate for a photo of her with a daisy before she outgrew it.  However we had a problem  as she couldn’t sit up on her own so what you can’t see is the pillows propping her up! As soon as a saw the papers I knew I had re do her page.  As well as the Daisy suite I also used the heart for the Sunshine wishes thinlit dies, pretty label punch and the sentiment from the colorful seasons stamp set.
Next I made some daisies with the punch and stamp set and mounted them on green florist wire.  I used a small pot which I decorated with designer paper.  It makes a lovely display and just think of what they would look like in vibrant colours!
The card had the sentiment heat embossed with white embossing powered and the edge was using a thinlit die from the seasonal layers dies.

Lastly the inside of the card, sentiment and some flowers stamped on whisper white card. And it makes a lovely effect under the scallops when card is laid flat.

I hope you have been been Inspired with this lovely set.  Thank you for dropping by, please do leave a comment below and join Rebecca Chivers and her lovely projects.

Butterfly Basics Birthday

I hope you enjoyed the blog hop over the weekend and were inspired by the fantastic projects that was shared.

Today I am showcasing a birthday card I made for one of my new customers.  She is completely new to card making and is really enjoying getting creative.  I used the Butterfly Basics stamp set as this was one of the sets she chose to start with as it was suitable for all occasions and I wanted to give her an idea how to use it.  I also teamed it up with the Butterfly framelits and small punch.

Once again I have used my favourite colours Sweet Sugarplum, Rich Razzleberry and the soon retiring Mini Macaron.
I love being able to share my passion of crafting and I am so pleased to have inspired new crafters to the Stampin’ Up! If you or know someone who would be interested in starting a new hobby then please contact me on 07561142974.

Keep Crafting!
